Students gathered at the Little Theater for Communication Society’s 2nd Semester General Assembly last Monday, January 30. Entitled “Fearless”, BA COM senior Chelsea Famatigan and Comm Soc president Nicole Goyena hosted the event while Comm Soc internal vice president Paola Neyra delivered the opening remarks.
The affair started with the airing of #Herstory, a video production of Miriam College Television (MCTV) featuring strong and independent Filipino women.
Blogger Yas Neri was the guest speaker whose talk focused on personal fears and how they can affect one’s journey in reaching for their dreams. Also an artist and teacher, she shared her life story and gave tips on how to conquer fears and use them as learning opportunities.
The Comm Soc officers presented the planned activities of the Department of Communication including Comm Week, Commpose: A Night for The Arts, and the upcoming team-building seminar that will be held at a beach resort in Batangas.
The gathering officially ended with the screening of a same-day-edit video produced by MCTV and closing remarks given by Nicole Goyena, marking a challenge for Comm students to always be fierce in the face of fear.
