Defined as heavenly, out of this world, and blissful -- that was how the Communication Society decided on the theme "Ethereal" for this year's Media Camp at the Blue Coral Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas. Held last February 19 to 20, 80 Communication students braved the rainy mornings to have fun and learn by the beach's cold waters.
Ace lenser Jethro Delima administered a photography session where he asked the participants to come up with their own portfolios with the use of a camera and editing software they had on hand. It was followed by a workshop presided by Department of Communication professor Ms. Lynda Garcia that focused on finding one's creativity.
The participants also bonded over the team-building activity called the "Amazing Race" where they jumped, limboed, and ran through various games. When the night arrived, the students dressed in bohemian and floral outfits and gathered for the bonfire by the seashore where they were serenaded by special guest Julia Mella. Adding more excitement were the ways that each of them advertised random things for a different purpose. Winners were awarded with gift certificates and freebies.
Media Camp 2017 was co-presented by Tony & Jackey, Bangs by Tony & Jackey, SkinWhite, Trampoline Park, Uniqlo, Dermcare, Eika Swimwear, BareNaked, and Pik-Nik.
