The celebration of the Communication Week continued with a screening of an eye-opening documentary entitled "Batas Militar" on Tuesday, March 7 at Lecture Rooms 2 to 4. Guest speaker was its executive producer Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala who refreshed the students' minds on the phenomenon.
Having had the highest rating for documentation regarding the Marcos Regime, the film was done in commemoration of those who have forefronted to oppose the oppression that occurred during Ferdinand Marcos' term. Accounts of high profile individuals who suffered from unsolved cases for the sake of gaining power in all avenues were discussed. It was very clear to all students present in that room that they did not need to be alive during that time to know how much the Philippines had suffered under the hands of a dictator.
Ending with a final nod to the unconquerable Filipino people power and the great influence such a movement contributed to the masses in his time, the room erupted in a round of applause as the facilitators said their final thanks to those who attended.
